4th of July S’mores Dip Recipe

July 1, 2020      kortneyandkarlee      2 Comments

Hey friends! The 4th of July is only a few days away so I thought this would be the perfect time to share this amazing American Flag 4th of July S’mores Dip Recipe! It is super simple and quick to make!

Time to pull out your red, white, and blue sprinkles! This s’mores dip is one of the easiest desserts you can make for the 4th of July and I promise it will be a party favorite!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 bags of marshmallows (we used the large size but I think Jumbo would work better)
  • Red, white, and blue sugar sprinkles
  • Graham crackers (For serving! Pretzels would be good too!)
  • Crisco or butter
  • Toothpicks or a skewer (to dip the marshmallows)
  • 6 Hershey bars
  • Water
  • Paper towels
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking pan

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. First, layout a piece of parchment paper. This is what we used to layout our flag with the sprinkled covered marshmallows. It helps to already have your flag planned out so you know how many of each color of the marshmallows with sprinkles you need. Have ready paper towels, a bowl of water, skewer, and your colored sprinkles. Next skewer a marshmallow, submerge it totally in water, then quickly dab on a paper towel. Now roll your marshmallow in sprinkles. Repeat this process with the red and white sprinkles. We did blue first, then red, and white.

Let the sprinkled covered marshmallows dry for 15 minutes. Now it’s time to prepare the s’mores. Grab your baking pan, and grease it with Crisco or butter. Cover the bottom with your Hershey’s chocolate bars to evenly coat the bottom of the pan. Now it’s time to add your marshmallows to make a flag. Bake in the oven for 7 minutes until the tops of the marshmallows start to brown. This is best when it is served warm. You could always complete the other steps before and then right before you are about to eat, pop the baking pan in the oven! Enjoy!!! This s’mores dip is SOOO GOOD! You will have to let me know if you try it!

XO, Kortney

It is so good! You could even put different colored sprinkled marshmallows on it for Halloween, Christmas, etc! 🙂
